This is one of the most frequent questions we receive from our clients and for good reason. Carpets that take longer than 24 hours to dry can become a breeding ground for mold, mildew, and bacteria. Damp carpets also re-soils faster, which can create an unhappy result. Why is my carpet taken so long to dry? There are several reason, these include humid weather, using too much moisture during the cleaning process, and failing to effectively remove the cleaning solution when work is complete. In these situations, ventilation may not be enough to speed along drying times. This is because the air directly above carpeting becomes saturated with moisture quickly after cleaning, which slows down the evaporation process significantly. How can we speed up the process? We can strategically and effectively place air moving equipment that can increase the airflow above the carpet, allowing drier air to circulate and improving evaporation rates. If you decide to add on this air moving service, carpets should dry in four to seven hours, or possibly even faster. Rest assured that our qualified technicians have the knowledgeable and expertise about how carpets dry and how they can speed up the process when and where possible. What can I do to help? Its always recommended that you open windows which improves ventilation, or turning up air conditioning or heating systems can also help carpets dry more quickly. Turn on ceiling fans or other portable fans through out the property. Please feel free to contact us 24/7 with any questions.
